Elvis Lives

Had Elvis not died in 1977? would he have lost weight? Kicked drugs? Family, friends & Memphis members speculate. HAD ELVIS LIVE? The evidence to prove Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977 is overpowering.

Since his death, a spate of books, tabloids, and as a US television program have suggested, Elvis hoaxed his own death and might still be alive. This theory has prompted heated debate, countless worldwide sightings, and raised a million-dollar reward by the USA, National Enquirer to anyone who can substantiate the 'alive' claim.

The speculations have since been embraced by a few Elvis fans, who would rather believe their Icon is alive than dead. But what if Elvis Presley hadn't died in 1977? Elvis Alive and Well? If only?

Elvis Alive? Would he have lost weight, beaten his drug addiction, married again, and soared to even greater heights as the most influential musician ever?

All the predictions made by Elvis family members, friends & Graceland executives are based on their knowledge of

Elvis' personality, character & behavioral traits. Fortified by their individual expertise, they speculate what Elvis would have done had he survived the fatal drug mixture that led to his premature death at 42, on August 16, 1977

It seems everyone who knew Elvis intimately wants to believe that after having survived a near death experience Elvis would have experienced a spiritual & emotional awakening that would have helped him to overcome his self-destructive appetites for food and drugs.

Also, that Elvis would've beaten his addiction, lost weight, and have come to terms with his lack of privacy, and super stardom. Graceland executives believe that Elvis would have come to grips with the mega-stardom that pushed him into an abyss of drug addiction, apathy, obesity, and despair.

They believe by sheer force of will the singer would have overcome his problems and become an inspiration to everyone, worldwide. Today Elvis Presley would have been 63 years old and grandfather to Danielle Riley Keough and Benjamin Storm, children of Lisa Marie and ex-hubby Danny.

On that fateful day, August 16, the then 9 year-old Lisa Marie, Elvis' only heir was staying with her father at Graceland. For months afterwards, the impact of the loss of her father triggered re-occurring dreams of the idyllic times they shared together.

Since then, Lisa Marie admits that over the years she has often wistfully pondered the possibility of how her life would have been different had beloved father lived. "I don't love or miss my daddy because he was famous. I miss the daddy I never had, and missing the chance to get to knew as an adult. I think of all the things I could've shared with him while I was growing up. He would've been a wonderful granddaddy to Danielle and Ben."

"I still remember how much he loved his family and me. The times I spent with him. When we used to ride in the golf caddy at Graceland. The way he used to make me laugh and sing me to sleep. If my daddy were here day he would've made this a better world for me... and his fans."

Charlie Hodges, who sang harmony on stage with Elvis for eight years, when he was wasn't handing him silk scarves, became a close friend to Elvis, and together with Joe Esposito, found Elvis' body in his bathroom at Graceland.

"I don't mind admitting, I want to cry when I think what Elvis could have been... His influence he could've been a source of inspiration for the youth of today," admits, Charlie Hodges.

Head-huncho, Memphis gang, Joe Esposito, became a close friend and was Elvis' road-manger, and who lived within the privacy of Graceland for ten years, says that it's too painful to even contemplate what it would be like if Elvis were alive today, but feels duty-bound to continue to discredit the 'alive' claims.
